The machine offers drying time settings of 5 minutes (I) and 10 minutes (II). In Auto mode (Clean & Dry), there are two different time settings, totaling 7 minutes or 10 minutes to choose from. If users wish to perform a quick cleaning before listening to the vinyl record, select the shorter duration. For brand new or heavily soiled record, choose the 10 minutes duration to provide a deep clean. For users who prefer to clean or dry the record separately, choose the Cleaning Only or the Drying Only mode.

HumminGuru Ultrasonic Cleaning

Ultrasonic cleaning is an approved process of using sound waves to create cavitation bubbles in a liquid bath of water that requires zero contact with the record during the cleaning process. HumminGuru applied a duo 40 kHz ultrasonic system. With 40 kHz, it is powerful to remove the contaminants and dust on your vinyl record without causing any damage. 

Auto-Draining System 

Instead of releasing water manually, the cleaner automatically drains all water from the basin to the water tank and ensure the record is being dried in a water-free space. This auto-draining system simplifies the cleaning process.

Duo Fan System

To increase the effectiveness of the drying process, a duo fan system is applied in designs that dry the vinyl record from both sides. Getting the vinyl record dry quickly in just 5 or 10 minutes. An air filter has been implemented at the area of air intake to prevent any external dust blowing back to the vinyl record during the process. 

Rotation System 

To make sure the vinyl record runs smoothly and rotates stably during the cleaning process, a two-point rotation system is designed to support the record firmly from the edge while ensuring no damage to the record itself. The rotation wheels can be replaced and will be available for purchase online. 

Water Basin Design

The chosen ultrasonic frequency and power is specifically tailored to its unique structural design, ensuring effective but gentle cleaning for all types of records, especially older ones. One key feature is the water basin design. The HumminGuru cleaner utilizes a single-unit stainless steel water basin to minimize energy loss that may arise from assembled components. This closed-loop basin design ensures energy efficiency and optimal ultrasonic cleaning performance in the tank. 

In addition, the proximity between the vinyl record's surface and the water basin wall, which is a mere 10mm (a little over 3/8 inch). This close distance allows the transducer to apply ultrasonic cavitation directly onto the record's surface. As a result, the HumminGuru cleaner can effectively remove dirt, dust, and grime from the vinyl records at the 40kHz frequency within a 10mm distance in a closed-loop basin. 

Cleaning Effectiveness

Recommend using HumminGuru's The Small Bottle, an alcohol-free cleaning formula designed to reduce record’s surface tension and facilitate better penetration into the record grooves during ultrasonic cleaning. It is also particularly helpful for drying, especially in humid environments.  Just a 30ml bottle can be used to clean more than 1000 records.
